This experimental documentary combine layered images of the first project 'Talking Feet' with footage shooted by Lazara R. Albear during her stay of 6 month in Kyoto and Tokyo in 2002. The original sound of all image has been replaced by a live sound recording of her improvisation music project Dark Speeches: Pak Yan Lau: pianet, toypiano, FX; Nan Ping Chang: voice, fujara, FX; Lazara R. Albear: drums, voice. The forced disconnection between sound and images draws the audience into the inner world of the presented portrets and into their own inner worlds. The multilayer aproach and the seemingly chaotically organized structure leave no room to fullfill expectations. Nihilisme. Japan is a combination of tradition and virtual reality where questioning the contradictions seems unsensical. Dedicated to Einar Mar Gudvardarson.
